Car Tv Question

I've heard that only a few companies overseas actually make car tvs. They are then imported into the states and the companies that buy them put their names on them. So basically, my question is, would a Pyle tv perform as well as say, a Panasonic or something?

I know Pyle isnt exactly a good namebrand to buy, but I found a good deal on a Pyle 7" active matrix screen. Do you guys think this would be a good investment? The resolution is 1440 x 234. How good of a resolution is that?

Once again, thanks for your help ahead of time!

I've never installed/watched a pyle screen. But compare it to other screen prices and usaully if it's too good to be true it is.Resolution isn't a big factor in mobile video due to the amount of motion (bumps, turns, etc.) your never really get to focus on the screen unless you are still.

I put one of those PYLE TV monitors in last week. It actually had a really good picture. We also do Alpine, Pioneer, Kenwwod, and Sony, and you really wouldn't be able to tell the difference.
The customer got the PYLE from a flea market type place. I was very suprised at the screen quality. If you don't need a motorized unit then i say go for it.

Yes there are only a few companies over seas that make LCD screens... but do you honestly think companies like Sony, Pioneer, Panasonic, Alpine use the same company as Pyle?

because the screens are SOOOO small, it will be very difficult to tell the difference in quality.

Someone had told me which companies actually made the screens for the brand names. I think all the major names used the same company except Alpine.
