1991 civic wiring

I need some help. i have a 91 civic, and i bought a light up license plate frame for it. i need to know what color the back headlights wire is that i need to wire it to. please reply if you know the answer.

Turn on the headlights, pull the plug off the back and get a test light or volt meter and find a hot wire.
