Roughly about 5-hp if your lucky. Most of that will be top-end. Unfortually, exhaust's don't do much for the non-turbos.

No way that you would get 15 hp from that. 3 inch piping wouldnt matter either. 2 and a half is about the max before your just wasting your money.

i read somewhere Hitter, that u "grew up around cars" an that u kno some stuff...well then surely, u should kno jus cuz the box says "proven gains of 15-20hp" doesn't mean that its going to be that way on ur car. if ur car is n/a tho, 3 in piping is gettin pretty big, ur going to lose a lot of backpressure. im sorri, but i have to agree, 15-20 is too big of a number for a simple bolt-on like that...

I wouldn't recommend running a 3" on a non-turbo car anyways. You'll need back pressure, other wise you'll lose precious torque that non-turbo's don't have already. At most, you got 3-5 hp. What you got was better throttle response, not power. Take it to a dyno, do your stock exhaust, then your aftermarket exhaust. I seriously doubt you gained 20hp from a 3" catback.

Some mufflers have different designs allowing different power gains. Such as a straight thru that allows major horsepower, but you'll have no back pressure again. But if you get a baffled design, such as a flowmaster, you won't have as much top end, rather a smooth linear curve from low RPM-high RPM. Your best bet is to buy a prepackaged cat-back design from somewhere. Those have been designed for max flow, while not destroying your power curve. Good luck! Rob
