I'm Also New!!!
Hi everybody, I am also new! My name is Josh and i live in Arizona...if you havent already guessed I have a 1990 240sx Fastback. Nothin special yet...actually it's completley stock, but i have big plans for er =) I am looking to drop in a SR20 motor into it, but i need to know if it will line up with my transmision and all that good stuff...I will try and get a picture up as soon possible, but if anybody would like to help me out with some information on engine swaps, rebuilds and all that good stuff...well see every1 around

that's if your talkin about the s15 tho right? I heard that if your buying a SR20DET S13 engine, the transmision and everything lines up and works...but the s14 and s15 dont line up right?

ASU?? hehe, yeah i live about 15 minutes away from there...depending on traffic, and depending how fast my little toy is willing to take me there =) nice to meet you too, you prolly read the posts up top...but i have a 90 240sx...it's really ugly for the time being...but give me a couple months and she's gonna be beatiful...i'll try and take some picture of it later tonight...maybe i should take them in the dark so people cant see how ugly it is...ha!

if you plan on doin the swap you need to get the front clip. which means that you have to get everything. ecu, harness, and that includes tranny. but lucky you that they all come together if you get it swaped at a shop.

well i got a small kink thrown into my plans.....PARENTS. My dad wont let me spend all this money on my 240 because it wont keep its value, he keeps telling me to buy a new civic and fix that up but i HATE civics. A prelude would be cute i guess, but i still want my 240..i might go with a newer model..but who knows

i dunno about the prelude dude, everyone i know who's had one doesn't have much good to say about them, but they are cute cars
i definately wouldn't go for the civic though, but judging from what you said, i think you know better.

oh man!!!! it's raining outside and I'm at WORK! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR i so want to go have some fun, but noooooooooo i have to work, blah. I know i know...a honda wouldnt be the way to go, by the way, how much did you get your 95 for? that's a slick lookin year...i might consider that =)

i went to a nissan dealership and it was around 9000, but my boyfriend at the time worked there, and needless to say it is good to know people in high places... or semi high places
anyways, it ended up bein around 5000, they pretty much lost profit on the deal, but i didn't care, why would i?!? i definately like the s14 body style the best, but if i had to redo it i'd probably go for a 97/98, there's somethin about those headlights i love... not that it's a big deal, but little things amuse me where do you work?!? anyways, good luck w/ the car search ttyl
