yeah, 20's are too big for a Max, they look goofy. i even think 19's look a little too big. 18's look real nice though, with some 40 series tires. hell yeah

i have 18x8.5 rims on my 98 and thats about as big as you could go, with 40 profile tires. before i lowered it the car looked like it was jacked up because of the rim size. the bigger your rim, the higher the car is off the ground so you need to lower it. i think with a 20"rim maybe even a 19" you are going to have some rubbing of the tire with the wheel well.

definately true. 18" wheels r perfect for the max. 19"or20" `s are better on the bmw`s or mercedes. my opinion anyway.

Here in L.A, I see alot of maxima's with dubs on them. I think it's tight and I would only do it if I wasn't into the racing scene. But since I am, no dubs for me. If I had a Max with extreme high milage and I didn't race, Id get some.
Here's the famous pic of the max on 21's.

in a way i agree with you gtr. if you are into racing you dont want the big wheels to slow u down. the biggest i would go is 19". i think 18" has the best of both world`s (looks and still wont slow u down 2 much).

Looks kind of like a 4x4 with dubs. Maxima is such a nice sports sedan, get something a little racier.

The maximum size that you can get on the maxima is 18x8.5 with tires 35x235x18 and thats with no need to cut the fender. If you want to get bigger rims you will have to modify the fender. If you will get 19s or 20s on the maxima your car will be slower at turning and slower speedwise. The speedometer needle will give you wrong speed, because rims are going to be bigger and heavier. I think 18x8 with tires 40x225x18 is the best size for the Maxima.
