New Project! RE Amemiya GReddy9 RX-7! (3 pics)

after losing intrest in my itr project i decided to get started on my Greddy rx 7

all i've done so far is paint the chassis and interior parts. last night i built the interior. i was looking my ref. pics and i noticed a boost gauge just above the steering column so i added one of DTM small gauges and drew on the dials with my Gundam Marker :alien:

any way enough small talk here are the pics

comments and suggestions are REQUIRED

Looking nice.
Were those details of those controls painted or is it decals?
But I think you should have painted the seats flat red, the red you have now looks a little too bright.

This is looking great man! The greddy rx-7 is one I plan to buy when I get good enough.

A newbie question: Did you paint the whites of the dials with gundam markers? How bout the black numbers etc can gundam markers be that precise? I've never seen/used them before.

The seats do look a bit shiny, but all in all a very good interior.

thanks for the comments guys!

the white dials are decals from a scraped ITR and no the gumdam marker isnt that precise

about the seats, they arent painted yet, they come that color. i've painted the back of the seats flat black and i'm going to masking the black off and spraying the rest flat red

the dashbourd is half painted half decal.

BTW nothing has been glued down its just sitting there

More Progress!!! Stratchbuilt intercooler!!!

Finally got some more work done on my GReddy

first on the agenda was to spray the seats flat red........done!

next - scratchbuild myself an intercooler....... done!

add pipes to the intercooler........ done!

paint the intercooler....... watch this space!

finally - make an opening for the intercooler...... done!
i had to cut out the opening in the front where the intercooler goes because Fugimi thought it would be cool if they blocked it up with a cheesy plastic one that was molded into the front bumper. it took alot of precision Demel work (oxymoron :silly2: ) but it looks alot better now

tomorrow is the big day of painting!!!

comments welcomed with chocolate :frog: :frog: :frog:

BTW: credit MUST be give to Chris for his outstanding How - To on intercoolers. seen here: http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...+styrene+putty
