Question Is My Tranny Gone?????? Please Help

k last night i was out with some friends messing around with our cars. not really pushing it too hard. i raced onced againts a 300zx at the races and thats it. i was driving home with no problems when i tried to shift to third it grinded like crazy. i tried to put it back in and it wouldn't go, no grind this time, it was like something was blocking it. i tried the other gears and no luck there either. so i stopped and i put it into first i struggled but it went in. i drove home struggin to get my gears in. the problem is not them grinding, its something blockin it from even going into gear i pushed as hard as i can and it wouldnt go in no grind at all. theres a bunch of noise coming from my shifter area.(no idea what it is, its like a whining sound) thats been like that for a while now. so im wondering is my tranny gone or is it something with the shift linkage??? any of ya'll have any info about my situation if so please help me out.

I dont know that much about tranny's but i'd check your synchro's. I dont know if I even spelled it right. Hopefully someone will come along and be able to help you better though. Good Luck.

Yeh just check ur linkage see if its adjusted rite. What kind did u get? I hope its not place racing cause its GARBAGE. Hasport is the way to go. DO you upgrade ur clutch or is it stock? You synchros could be bad also.
