Well I have a stock integra gsr, it is well maintained but has 112000 miles. I am the secound owner. I wanted to know that If after I do some normal bolt ons, intake headers and catback exhaust and then do a 50 shot Nos will I be ok or is there anything in particular I should look into before the Nos.

well, if u want a nitrous system, then go for it. the high mileage on ur car means ur going to have to be careful about it tho. get it done rite, an don't spray every race on the road. u mite want to strengthen the internals of ur motor, but if u want the mod, go for it. yes, its tough on ur motor, an yes, there is a chance u'll blow ur motor, but if u want it, get it.

Please do not buy a dry kit! It will blow up your motor. I have saw a few ppl around here who have blown their motor with zex kits. Reason you ask: the dry kit relies on your fuel injectors to supply the extra fuel, well thats fine and dandy but the intake manifold does not distrubute the air and nitrous evenly, thus some cylinders are runnig rich and some are running lean ( which causes detonation, which blows your motor).
But with a wet kit the fuel is injected with the same nozzle as the nitrous and it becomes attomized. So if one cylinder gets more than another it is alright b/c you will not be running lean in any of the cylinders. Don't listen to ppl who tell you that dry kits sre the safest and best b/c they are not. My friend who had a zex kit blew his motor and got a new one (B18B) and has been using a Nitrous Works kit for a while now with no prblems at all. He periodicaly reads the plugs and does compression checks and everything is fine! And I have been using my wet kit currently jetted at 70hp for a while and my compression check a month ago was fine there was like 2psi difference between two of the cylinders but that is common, especially on a motor with 115,000 miles on yhe clock.

your friend cant and shouldn't have installed his own kit. its stupid people that blow thier engines by not using/installing the kit correctly and then go bad mouthing nitrous. I had a zex 65shot running for three months on a bone stock (internally) SOHC VTEC before it was sold. its still running

and you are positive there were no fuel issues, vacuum leaks, altered/wrong jets during the install.
Did you replace the fuel filter and do a basic tune-up before using the kit. When you changed the nitrous jet, did you also make sure to change the jet on the fuel/vacuum side of the purple box? I have seen numerous engines w/ zex dry kits run with no problems including mine. This is why i am curious as to what could have gone wrong. didnt mean to offend you, but there are a few things you could have done wrong which would put the user at fault.

Don't use Bosch spark plugs, use NGK instead, my bro melted the Bosche ones the seconds day of useing nitrous ( he Squeezed one an hour
). Get an air/fule ratio gauge, and keep your eye on it, remember... 14.7 is the ideal ratio.Happy Hunting

wow, one hour...he must have had twenty bottles hooked up
14.7:1 is not the ideal ratio for any fi or even n/a set up. you'll want to run it safe at a lower ratio. remember its better to be rich than lean. just buy a cheap narrowband a/f gauge and always stay on green. ngk=
