Y-pipe is the best "bang for the buck" mod for our Max... Cattman makes high quality products.. I have his catback exhaust, you can't go wrong with him... But understand that his business is small and support might not be the best... But then it can't be worst than Stillen. There is no need to reprogram your ECU after the install... At most, unplug your battery for a few hours to reset the ECU. I didn't even do that when I put in my Stillen Y-pipe. Installation runs anywhere from 60-100 bucks and you got to find a shop that will do it for you as the y-pipe removes the rear pre-cat and thus making the car illegal for street use. I did it myself, but you got to have the proper tools and lots of patience. Good luck!

Yes, the ypipe adds a sh1tload of power.. anywhere from 10-20hp to the wheels... and make sure you get the right one.. there is a Federal, and CA spec... You should get the Cali spec as they don't make a Federal spec car for your year model

http://www.motorvate.ca/auto/maxima/...-pipe_dyno.htm
18 fwhp and more importantly 19 lbs of torque.
This is a budget y pipe dyno but i'm sure catt-man gets the same power

Dude, Budget is so much better. You'll regret pating more for a Catmann when you can get a high quality Budget for a lot less.

if you don't go budget, i'd have to never talk to you again
The guy who put in my ypipe said his old ypipe broke, i think he said it was cattman or greddy not sure which one. He also said it didn't fit his car exactly. Go BUDGET, perfect fit, nice preformance

2 questions

1) is there any difference in performance from the fed spec to the Cali spec models?

2) if you get the cali emissions pipe will it still not pass emissions?

it should pass emissions once the cars nice and warmed up even with the normal pipe. i would assume the cali spec pipe is more restrictive but i don't know for sure

I think the budget one is made in Canida, and its not 100% made of 304 stainless as advertized. It looks alot cheaper made then the other y-pipes I have seen but hey you get what you paid for!!! enjoy your saveings.
