I assume you used tamiya paint for the body? In which case, go with enamels since if any paint happens to leak thru the mask, you can rub it out. Acrylics, in my experiences, tend to stain on certain colors.

Airbrushing or paintbrushing?

Both enamels and acrylics are suitable for airbrushing, but I would recommend using enamels only for paintbrushing.

Shorty, why don't you try brushpainting water-based acrylics and then tell us when it doesn' work! Don't give advice that you don't know will work! (and I know from personal experience that it is likely not to work).

Good for you! Now, what do panel lines have to do with this thread?

Re: testors Enamel

Hey, I didn't use Tamiya masking tape, but I used Testors flat black enamel and it didn't leak through the tape. Also if you do get it on the actual window area you can take a toothpick and lightly "scratch" it off without effecting the "glass."
