BMW Z4 is....

Slow. Some cocky rich guy, with his ugly wife, pulled up next to me at about 40, gunned it, then cut me off...Pissed off, and since I had just read the times and stats on that car from car and driver, I knew I had to smoke him :smoker2: Pulled up next to him at the next light, he's already revin his engine. Turns green and by the time I hit second gear I pull away from him like he isnt movin (and yes hes still got it gunned, he gets second pretty good) I get to third gear and he is in my rear view. Great Feeling. :frog: I love my 99 T/A.

Oh yeah, Your Trans Am should have really smoked his ass. Your Trans Am (5.7L V-8) with 305HP. His Z4 (3.0L V-6) with 225HP. Yep I'd say you had him blown in the dust. Good job, I don't care much for them Z4 and getting tired of people bragging about them. Again, nice kill...

Cool SLOW Z4

IMO I personally think the Z4 is a beautiful car and a step up from the previous. I don't think slow would be the word for it. It has great acceleration for a 225hp inline six. We just own extremely fast cars, that's all. Not very many stock cars can hold their own against a T.A. Now, should you have pulled up next to an 02 or 03 M3, you would have had your ass handed to you to 60 mph and still might have been seeing tail lights through the quarter mile depending on how good a drivers you are. Also, if you ever see a Dinan badge on the back of a BMW be prepared to get slaughtered. :greenchai Just some food for thought.

I know what Dinan is, my friend owns a M5 Dinan. That car is very fast. Other friend also owns an M3. At 50 mph, she down shifted, tried to pull away, I downshifted, caught up and began passing when we hit the brakes. I never said my T/A was stock. :smoka: BMW does however make exceptional cars. I didn't expect to catch u and pass an M3, and wouldn't if an expirienced driver were at the wheel. Fast cars are great aren't they? :sun:

Now I am not going to say the Z4 is an ugly car. I happen to think they are very nice. But I am glad you smoked some rich guy who thought he was hot shit. I wonder what he was thinking as he saw you fly past...

Mods done to my 99 T/A M6:

Handling/Traction: Car is lowered 2 inches, Sits on 17" Konig Monsoon Wheels, BMR Engine Strut Tower Brace, BMR Panhard Bars, Rear BMR Sway Bar, and Ripper Shifter. O ya, I took out the spare to reduce weght. :smoka:

Rubber: BF Goodrich T/A G-Force KDWS

Engine: Borla Exhaust, Carbon Fiber Whisper Lid, K&N Filter, removed MAF screen, and free ram air mod.

Coming Soon: Headers (I've narrowed my choices down to Hooker LT's or Dynatech Stepped 1 3/4 to 1 7/8), ORY, no Cats (O2 simms), and some type of knock outs (QuickTime or the cheap ones from Jeggs you undo with the 3 wing nuts) and a port TB (dunno what to do for that)

Borla

The Borla sounds really nice. Not as loud as the other exhausts, dont get me wrong tho, you will be heard. I had it up on a lift and the quality is superb. fits stock locations. real nice. i wish borla made headers to go with it. i am leaning towards hooker LTs, but i think id need to get a whole new y pipe set up, so id get ory and cut outs. any advice?

Any brand LT's and you'll have to get a new y-pipe. That's just a factor of having the better headers that stick out farther from the engine.
