Vinyl Roof
I have owned my 1985 Crown Vic since 1996. I like the car, and I am not planning on selling it. I wish to replace the vinyl top, as it has become faded and cracked. Is this going to cost a fortune? I dont mind a few hundred bucks. What price range am I looking at?

Hey phill,
It can be a little pricey to replace the vinly but not as much if you can get a re upolsterer who can also do cars. Theres a guy in my town who was gonna charge me 300 (can) to do the whole project. But i think i might get rid of my vinly and make it a regular hardtop. In this case it will just cost me the price of getting some match paint and filler so i can cover the holes from the clips and repaint the roof area where the vinyl was. hope this helps, -matt |
