Tutorials - format?

We're going to add a Tutorial section.

Would you rather see them as threads here in the forum (or subforum) so they can be replied to, or should they be web-page articles that are static, like the gallery pages?

agreed supra, the point of the tutorials is to stop with the no-sensical replies being made

With an open thread it will give people the chance to ask questions to the author about certain aspect and perhaps raise awareness about parts which aren't clear.

Off topic peplies can be easily deleted and kept on top of before going off on tangents.

ive noticed the moderators (not being mean or flameing jay and pman) usually dont delete or take care of off topic thread untill they get way out of hand, such as the one about shortys exaust, so i think we should still keep it static

a tutorial is what it is, a static document to read thourgh. when one has questions or improvements they can use the regular forum as before, and subsequetnly the tutorial could be adapted if necessary.

Article should name the writer so people can pm the writer about it.

That's because we have wonderful moderators to let us work out our problems in a mature manner instead of being treated like a bunch of children.:grey:

Back to Topic:
I think the idea with the having the tutorials like the gallery and then the authors name to PM would be best.

Why not both? Have the static tutorial and then at the end of the tutorial have a link to a specific post. That post could then be used to answer questions.
