Talking another cold air intake....real this time!

haha....i`m a bored guy...so yesterday in math class i decided what i should do when i get home.....so then i got this idea of making my 3" aluminum intake "cold" like hook it to the bottom front of the car....
....so as i get home i quickly took my soldering iron and burned a 3" hole right through the bottom of the front bumber plate.....(the thin plasic plate that is screwed on the bottom of the front bumper)...and hook up my special "real" cold air intake...hahaha^^

well....i noticed two things....one is that when u open ur hood when finished with a drive and if u touch n e thing it burns.....after the cold intake, everything seemed just a little cooler, a little...ha, then u touch the intake hose...it`s like ice...!!!....and 2nd...the rpm seemed to pick up jus a little faster....and smother on the high end....not like before, u feel there`s not enough air going into the engine...

well...im not sure about the 3rd gens.......well first u`ll need some tools like a plier, soldering iron and screw driver.....u`ll need zip ties and a 3~4" aluminum holse.......about 3 feet long will be okay
.....and get under the front of the car.......remove all the screws
on the plasic piece that goes on under the bumper.......use the soldering iron and make a hole....3~4"....and take out the stock air box so u can work on it.....take out the stock air hole u wont need them n e more.......attatch aluminum holeson the air box....fut first u`ll want to make it fit by using the pliers....attach with zip tie.....it`ll never fall off now....put everything back together and aim the intake down so that it goes in the hole u made on the bottom....and i sed a net just on the tip of the opening....so no leaves gets in.....animals?

ARe you doing this on the 5th gen. Max. I have a 2000 Max se and after I drive it for a while and the engine seem very hot and maybe I want try what you just did. Actually if you drive your Max in the summer and when you stop at the light and you left he windows and stick your left arm outside the car you can actually feel the heat coming from the engine. First I though this is for my car only and then when I saw my friend's car did the same. Could you please post some pics with what you have done?
