b16a supercharged???????

o.k now I have a b16a engine in my car now I want to run mid 12's
can someone tell me what the best way to do this, I have a 1994 civic ex
with b16a engine no mods. I really don't want to go turbo because I am not into the checking my engine all the time, I want something I can put on and run 12's without all of that cheacking the boost and pressure and shaft play because I don't understand all of that.

PLEASE SOMEONE REPLY THINKS....

yeah you can get into the 12 with a supercharger but it would have to be a pretty big one and with that kind of boost on stock internals you'll blow your engine up. Btw i know you said you don't want to the only proper way to get power out of an 4 banger is to turbocharge it. superchargers are just not eficient enough.

So remember high boost = needs reworked engine.

Vortech makes a badass sc for a b16a2 and it just might fit that 1st gen b16a, find out for sure though. With the optional aftercooler, that thing is said to lay down about 277 horse. Of course thats about all you can expect from it, turbochargers leave lots of room for upgrading.

you can alway go w/ all motor, like high cr pistons, rods, dual valve springs, retainers, cams, and stuff like that, wich will last alot longer than turbos, and quicker response too.....

a b16 supercharged on street tires wont run mid 12s, but if you were runnin slicks, then you could hit mid 12s with a b16 supercharged. to be safe, if you have the extra money, buy some pistons and rods, cheap ones. an lsd and upgraded axles will help in your quest for 12s.
