fixing punctured tire
one of those big hardware staples got into my tire on the edge between the sidewall and the tread. im assuming its possible to fix, but would it be a permanent fix or is that just a temp thing and i should still buy a new tire asap. this tire has at least half its tread left, so i dont want to throw it out just because of that.

chances are a chemical sealer could fix it, but you are better off just going to your local Discount Tire, NTB, etc and getting the tire removed the brad/staple pulled, the hole/s patched, and getting it remounted and balanced. Even if you aren't using a road hazard warranty, it shouldn't be more than about $30 and it will be safe.
jm2c ...or you could just plug it... the kits are only a few bucks.
