Well it all started with an innocent trip to my girls house. It got late, about 1 or 1:30, so I headed out. No sooner had I turned off of her street than my cell phone rang and she told me I had forgotten a picture I was supposed to get. She said don't worry I'll just bring it to you tomorrow, but ooooh no I said no problem I'll just come back and get it. I had only made it one block up the intersecting street so I just took a right, then another right and then another right. Oh btw there were 2 stop signs in there somewhere...I didn't stop I just slowed to about 15-20 and made my turns...stupid I know but it was late and I wasn't thinking. Anyhow, I get back in her driveway and here comes a cop car barreling around the corner and 40 mph sliding up in her driveway behind. I was already out of my car, so he yells(yes, YELLING) get back in the car! so i get back in my car and turn it off...then he yells "get out of the car" so i get out..."put your hands on the back of the car"...frisk begins..."have you been drinking?are you on drugs or something?" "no sir" "can you read? do you know what S T O P means?" at this time my girlfriend is getting scared looking so I told her "go back inside i'll be in there in a minute" "you may not be going back in there you might be coming with me" so she runs inside crying..."you ever been to jail son?" no sir...."well youre probably going tonight"....in the process of frisking the cop removed my wallet then proceeded to rifle through its contents until finally removing my drivers license. He then told me to stand in front of his partner and 3 different times he freaked out because i moved my hands so hes yelling "keep your hands by your side!" this is after he knows i have nothing on me....so anyhow, he runs my info...asks me if i would rather pay 1500 dollars bail or a 900 dollar ticket...i said the ticket obviously....so he writes me a wreckless driving ticket...oh side not my girls mom came out to see what was going on and the dude just starts yelling at her to get back in the house...freaking psycho...anyhow story got around a little...one of my girlfriends instructors in good friends with the chief of police in a neighboring town, and the instructor is the police liason...she told the story in class so he called his friend and they sat down with her and talked about it...the bay minnette chief told her to call the silverhill chief(silverhill where i got the ticket) and tell him what happened...so she did(i didnt know she did this) and he said the officer sounded out of line, and he would personally get a subpoena and review the tape if there was one, and get back to her. he said 900 was out of the question and he could probably get me community service if my driving record was good(its spotless)...he said he could at least get it reduced...then my dad was talking about it to a friend at church who is a detective in another neighboring city, and he said hes gonna go talk to the chief of police as well...so anyhow sorry so long but it made me mad....i did something dumb but the cop was WAY out of line...i'll keep you posted as soon as i hear something...ahh that feels better
