Thumbs up Stone Sour

I resisted getting this album, not overly impressed with their first single, "Bother". However, I simply can not get enough of the second single off their album, "Inhale". Now I am definitely going to be picking up their album this weekend.

Just curious if anyone already has the album, or if anyone has any other impressions of Corey Taylor's other band.

Corey Taylor = Slipknot?

if so, Stone Sour is certainly a digression from the music of his other band...

Indeed. Funny that through Stone Sour, there is no longer any question as to what Corey looks like, as he performs without a mask with Stone Sour.

The amazing thing is that many maggots are actually confessing to liking Stone Sour more than the 'Knot itself. And.. I am going to say that the jury is still out for me.

btw if you guys dident know Jim-4 is one of the guitarist in Stone Sour. I really liked Bother, the rest of the cd is alright but nothing like brother and they do one song that sounds slipknotish but as a whole Stone Sour is not any form of slipknot. I like Corey much better when he sings.

I liked a couple of slipknots songs. but never really got into them.

I do really like Bother but haven't heard anything else.

i hate the Knot. they scare the living shit out of me, and i tend to stay away from metal that's as hard as that. however i do rather enjoy Bother, which is weird because i don't usually like most main-stream rock music. it's mostly punk and emo that no-one's heard of...

I'm telling you - give "Inhale" a shot. I hate to repeat myself, but I wasn't all that taken with "Bother" either. But "Inhale" is all together different, and while not much like a Slipknot track, it is much heavier than "Bother."

Listening to Stone Sour right now. It is good, I like it, but as for being better than Slipknot - NOT A CHANCE
