Any difference- Dodge vs. PLymouth

Is there any difference between the Dodge Neon and PLymouht Neon? If so what are the difference?

I'm planning on getting a Neon so knowing more about them would be a great help! Thanks!

No differences....just a few options and packages...but nothing major.
Although the little sailboat badge looks kinda weird compared to the good ol' rams head on Dodge's...

Plymouth also has DOHC, the Expresso, which is the same things as the Sport under the Dodge name. BOth names share the "ACR" too.

I own Plymouth neon and its amazing....and by the way katwoman...its not even an expresso and its DOHC. a Neon is a neon and if ure gonna call a plymouth "g*y" in comparison to a dodge...just remeber that were not driving the most aggressively sounding named car.

I had to replace an oil sending unit on my wifes 1996 Plymouth. The Dodge dealership gave me one for a Dodge and it didn't fit. I went to a Napa store, same thing, didn't fit. I went to Advance Auto Parts guess what....they had one for a Plymouth and IT FIT. The wiring harness connectors were different. Dumb hugh? Anybody else had this?

They gave you a sender from the wrong year. Maybe they gave you a sender for a '95/early-'96 and you needed a later one, or vice versa. I assure you that it had nothing whatsoever to do with the nameplate on the car.

I have to beg to differ... I mean, "neon" may not be the coolest name in the world, but the R/T is a distant relative to the one and only viper, right?

Remember that Neon spelled backwards actually says Noen which in the Triambulanic language means "To Kill". Henceforth to kill means that anything that comes up against a Neon/Noen is dead as in killed! Sun Tzu says " it is truly the exceptional that can make leaders of followers" Those who go out and buy a supercharged car and pay others to do the work are only rich and have no heart. Damn! I wish I was rich I'd just go out and pay someone to get me a fast car. LOL.

I hope your tires are rated to go that fast otherwise you could blow them. Secondly both cars are exactly the same except for the chrome plastic plate on the body. I too love my Neon and drive fast thanks to my escort and when the highway is clear.

Dodge and plymouth did the same thing with the neon that Chevy and Geo did with the Tracker, Ford and Mercury did with the tempo/topaz and taurus/sable, and Dodge and Mitsubishi did with the 3000GT/Stealth. Same car, different name. They do it a lot of the time to create competition for themselves, so they have better control of the price and stuff like that. The camaro and firebird, not the same exact car, but same concept.

What escort are you talking about? The car, or police, or what ?

Re: Any difference- Dodge vs. PLymouth

I'll say this, drive hard and fast at the speed your going, and your neon will croak. Slow down and you will both be around for a long time. Truthfully think just a bit. These small cars are made for constant speeds of 60 or 70 miles per hour.
