Does anyone use this method for panel lines?

Wouldn't the q tip with thinner on it remove your finish?

If you use enamel paint and thinner to do the lines on a lacquer or acrylic paint job, it will be fine. (but don't let it sit too long anyways!
 )

I use thinned acrylic on my enamel/lacquer paint jobs. Cleans up w/Windex, thinner, or compound. I mix the color to be a darker shade of the body, black is usually too dark for my tastes.

yes I use dilued Acrylic black with wather.. it's hard.. it's long.. but dont harm the pain and you can wash it with wather if you make mistake...

I always do similar method. I just thin the paint enough, so that it flows by it self. But I still wipe off the excess with a cotton swab. My clear coat is always lacquer based acrylic or more recently urethane, so it's safe to use enamel thinner on it.

DON'T USE THIS METHOD!!!
It'll stain the area around your panel lines... your model will turn out to look like a tank or ship model!!!!! I've tried it a few times without luck... it just doesn't work very well....
