ok mate,
firstly breathing is important, 1) Airbox - KN filter is a must, running standard enclosed airbox is important, as pod filter airboxes look good but hot under bonnet temps, are sucked into engine creating hotter internal temps which affect your power( colder internal temps is wat you want ) This breath in filter mod will give you noticeable power increase. 2) Exhaust - Breathing out and back pressure is important, it frees up your rev range and combined with your Filter mod a big diiference. 2.5" exhaust is all you need, 3" look good but will have a possible decrease affect in your power as back pressure is also important. SO FAR IN NZ THIS WOULD COST $800.00 3) Computer - There are a few different ECU chips out there to command your airflow operations, and fuel mixture and pressure. A slightly higher flow adjustable fuel regulator and possibly bigger injectors to pulse you more fuel...more power Airflow controllers are prolific in NZ, the range that is......recommended 4) Fuel - Running as higher octane as possible is also VERY important, forget the crap about the lower the octane the more economical, if its power you want 60%pump/40 race gas ratio, 70/30 is fine. 5) Bodyweight - remember that stereo equipment can be you worst enemy, heavy sub boxes, amps speakers carry lots of weight, and also the bigger alloy you put on the car the heavier it is.. HOPE THIS HELPS

lancers rock
I wouldnt waste my money unless you have alot of flooding where you are, i wouldnt waste my money. you can check if there is moisture getting into fuel or intakes through taking off your oil filler cap and checking residue build up under oil filler cap on your engine anyway...
I forgot one thing ..if power is wat u want money no object NOS this will make you smile...cheapish thrill:flash: :flash: :flash: :flash:

first, grammar...
there are a couple turbo kits for your car. think realistic. are you going to be able to afford one within the next 6 months? if not, get a header if you can afford the turbo, don't do anything and save for the kit. all the usual stuff can be done, i/h/e... after that, it's up to you as to what route you go |
