You've got to sand it out and re-prime. Don't use an extremely coarse sand paper. u could probably use 600 grit.

The only way you are getting that speck of dust out is by lightly sanding, it should not take a lot of sanding to remove it.
You can use a higher grit than 600, maybe even 1200 if you are that worried about it.

Oh sorry specs of dust you say, well you still have to sand and re-prime some how unless you would like specs of dust in your paint job.

Hey same thing just happened to me, even worse. I have to sand a lot more since a little puttying job went wrong and more sanding. Oh I also have a few specs of dust,

Sorry to hear that but you have to do what yuou have to do for a good finish.

Try to light sand it, and then reprime it, I usually do this by using 600 to 800 grit sandpaper. This will remove the dust specks.

Its a modeling forum, so we dont want to hear how you smothed your butt out :finger:
but seriously, sand it in 4 days, and apply one more heavy coat if necessary!

Yeah just sand it out. Be careful and as long as you don't cut through to the plastic underneath you'll be fine. No need to reprime

You will have to sand it, I would use 1000 grit or higher. If you are using a real sandable primer(not Testor's crap)you can just reprime the reworked area not the whole car.

If it's Krylon it will sand just fine. It's probably not dust, it's probably stringy paint(a problem I have with Krylon sometimes)that looks like dust and it will sand smooth without any problems.

Specks of dust on your primer is nothing to stress about as all the guys have already told you, it's easy to remove and re-apply.

It's when you get specks of dust on your lacquer/clear coat is when you stress!

Seriously, you don't even need to reapply primer... just sand smooth and leave it.... it's primer for crying out loud.... it's just there to protect the body and/or provide a surface for paint to adhere to...
