TRAF light on Bose 6disc Stereo

I've got a interesting question for you guys, its some what hard to explain but I'll do my best. Yesturday this light came up on my radio saying "TRAF" it would come on steady, dissappear, blink twice, and come back on again. I really didn't know what it was so I looked it up in the manual and turns out its some mode the radio does to find traffic reports on all radio stations. The thing is if I push the TRAF button the light comes on steady and with to arrows on each end that blink (<TRAF>) which means it's searching..the thing is when the light is just on like it has been it isn't searching for anything, I've disconnected the battery to reset the truck and uplugged the radio and it didn't change anything. The other interesting thing is it only does this with the truck running, if the radio is on in accessory mode the TRAF light doesn't come on, so I really have no idea if that means anything or not. I scanned the truck just for the hell of it and no codes were thrown and the light being on doesn't affect the radio or the truck at all everything works as it should. So i guess my question is what, if anything, does this light mean is giving a diagnostic message like airbag lights do or is it just a random thing. sorry for the long post, was just interested to what this might be, hopefully someone can understand all of that.
Thanks-Danny
