So What Do U Do 2 Bring in the Skrill (Post ur J-O-B's)

I've wondered from time to time what some of you all do for a living, so thought we could give this a go.
If this threads been done before don't bite my head off, i dunno.

So for me I'm a Denny's waitress right now while I'm going to college, which its cool for me it's fairly easy and i average about $12-18/hour when my tips are averaged into my hourly pay. Right now my plans were to go to school, become a nurse but lately i've been having second thoughts that maybe i should go ahead and give what i really want to do a shot, i want to do auto body repair and my ultimate goal/dream would be to open my own custom body shop. But i pushed that aside because everybody said that wasnt practical, especially for a girl.

So along with this do any of you guys have any thoughts on that, do any of you work in auto body repair and know what kinda money i would be bringing in out of school, i have no idea and even though money doesnt =happiness, it is still a factor. :silly2:

I work at Khols, i make 7.25 an hour..... WHOPPIE!!!!! Oh, for those of u who done have a Khols in their Area, its a Dept. Store like Macy's and stuff.....

Wat? Well thats just not true at all, give me $10 and ull see one happy fella. For me, it's all about the money now flying first class straight spending 100's now. Anyways, i work at kmart as a cashier/bitch boy, it's great fun and i make $8/hr. Its awesome and i make quite a bit of money.

I work at a Home Depot type store as a stock bitch and the guy that carrys the heavy shit to people's cars. Making an entire $6.50

Right now I do auto body work, but I'm going to start working at an energy plant pretty soon for a couple months, then after that I start firefighting.
Cars-about $22.50 an hour when business is good
Energy plant-$12.50 and time and a half for overtime, 80+ hours a week
firefighting-$12.50 an hour, time and a half for overtime, 120+ hours a week

damn kicker me and you have alot in common, i worked for 2 years in my dads auto body shop and now for the past 6 months i have worked at a power plant as a APO(assistant plant operator). i made 18 bucks an hour with my dad but now i make a cool 22.50 an hour and i always have mad overtime. but anyways that what i do.

I am a Courtesy Clerk....I bag groceries. I make 6.30 an hour and I average 24 hours a week. I also goto high school tho. After I get out I will be making close to 18 an hour at a factory.

im a forklift operator/laborer in a cold storage facility. i make 10.61 /hr and my wife makes about the same working at a third party loan office.

i bet i get paid the less on her i got a freaking 5.25 an hour that is probably because they are jewish (no offense) the place is called basicly bagels.......my dad used to have a body shop that y i have a 3bay garagew in the back of my house but my damn dad left me and brother and sister and mom when i was 9.....soo i really didnt get to learn anything at all from him about body repair.....and when i graduate from college i plan on doing something with law enforcement....thats probably because of my childhood....well enough about my life lol

right now i'm working a shit job and its pissing me off frankly... i'm a "sales attendant" at a small cookware store... i hate dealing with old ppls errrrrr... haha but in about 4.5 months when i go on my externship i'll be a cook, making anywhere from 7-14 a hour... depending on where i go... and at the end of feb. i'll be a certified bar tender woo hoo so i can go do that and make some pretty decent money... after the externship i'll also be a certified cook... and will need to work toward my chefdom haha... damn i'm gonna be certified out the ass... i'm Serv-safe certified already (means i know my sanitation shit) i get two certifications for my Mixology class (read bartending) and i have a few mo tests for certifications in my culinary/management classes... haha oh yeah btw in my career i can work any where from 40-100+ hours weekly in the kitchen...

damn at first i was like....$6.30/hour.....$5.25 (or whatever)/hour isnt that illegal? lol but i forgot one of the only great things about livin in CA is minimum wage laws.....$6.75/hour :alien:

yeah but your cost of living will be a lot higher... the minimum wage here is 5.15...
