Question How much longer for the E46 M3??

Howdy all!

I'm just wondering how much longer BMW is going to produce the current E46 M3. Can we expect it throught 2005? Does anyone really know??

I'm hoping to save up and get one, and I'm just really hoping that they keep making it through 2005 so I can put a hefty downpayent on it. I know 2004 is for sure, but if anyone really knows about 2005 I'd appreciate it very much.

Oh, and the pending 3-series coupe facelift--will this affect the M3?

TIA!

I don't think that they will produce the current M3 through 05'. They might change it for 04'

The E46 is a new platform. You can expect BMW to continue to get several more years from this newer platform. The E36 went on sale in Europe in 90' and in the US as of 1/92 and continued through 99. going by BMW's trend you can expect that current E46 platform will run through 05' for hardtops, and convertibles going a year or more longer, as well as an M version sometime after that !
