Why do teachers get mad when you are 2 seconds late for class?, O wow you are 2 seconds late, now you have 30 min of detention.

That pisses me off

Because they want something to bitch at you for, seeing as thats about all they can do is write detentions or referals, or call parents. Basically they do it because they can. It pisses me off to, happens all to often, and for no reason, I was 2 steps from the classroom, and the bell rang, but I still got a detention.

i hate most teachers, but i did have one teacer last semester that didnt care if u were late as long as it wasnt happending every day

Now, as fellow students, you all might hate me for this, but why aren't you on time?? It bugs me that in my school, we have 6 minutes between classes, and still yet, people are late. People walk in 5 or 10 minutes into class every day. Now, being late once or twice I can understand. Being on time everyday of your life would get rather hard, but 10 minutes, every class, every day? It wastes my time, the class's time, and the teacher's time. Like I said though, getting detention for being late once or twice is total bull crap.

No, I post in other places as well, just more so in here, I like the arguments that come about and making points as well as counter points. But I do get around to the other forums yes.

yeah teachers suck, but i think the worst kind of teezcher arethose book teachers. those teachers that never know the material and just assign work.

also the whole tardy policy thing i think is crap. it doesnt stop students from comming late it jst makes them skip, or not come to school. i think a tardy person should be asked to recite a peom to the class during announcements. that will deture them..

I'm not a teacher,but it must be fairly frustrating to go through the same routine half a dozen times every day,release one class of students,file away the work you were doing with them,rush to get set up for the next class,get them all seated and paying attention,start the lesso....no wait.Wait will the haboitual latecomer shambles in.Wait while he finds a vacant seat.Wait while the class settles down again.Listen to the same old lame excuses and perfunctory courtesy...............

Teaching enthusiastic kids is a lot of fun.Having dull pupils disrupt the start of lessons every day must get a bit frustrating.

i cant stand our teachers that if you are late once or twice its like opening a row of pit bulls on an unsuspecting cat. they bitch and bitch. i mean (and not to brag or whatever) but i get A's and the occasional B and when ever im late some teachers dont seem to mind..mostly because im only late by less than a min. but the kids that walkin 5 minutes late..the teacher has to stop..ask why their late..get the same bull shit (my locker wouldnt open is getting REAL old) and then have to start class over again...hello..im trying to learn here..ya id like to make a living for myself..id like to have nice cars...these stupid people that are 10 minutes late are wishing on hopes and dreams they graduate

You hit the nail on the head my friend. There are a lot of kids like this in my school, they are the little rich kids who think mommy and daddy will buy them whatever they want and feel that they dont have to show up if they dont feel like it, or they feel they can come whenever they desire. It really pisses me off the way people think, Im anxious to come back to my school for the 10 year reunion to see what they did with their lives.

my school is huge, and over crowded, try putting 1600 kids in a building met for no more than 600 and you will be late a lot

we 2 have 6 mins, but they expect us to walk from the the basement up 1 flight of stairs to your locker up another flight of stairs then to the class room, while in that ime u spend 2 min in each stair case cuz no one knows how to walk up one,

haha..the one good reason for having a semi-small school. we have arond 850 kids in our school. but we have the same problem..and im sure every school has this problem. the kids that move at a snails pace through the halls and dont give a shit about the people behind them. i swear at least 20 times a day i have to run to class and end up running past people and having them give u looks because your trying to get to class.

ILike2DriveCars- my 10 year reunion or 20 year will be really pathetic..mostly because my class is made up of alot of atheletes who think they are hot stuff..i bet about 10 percent of them will go to the pros..but thats all they know is sports. no problem with that..but they think that sports is all that matters and school is stupid. which means the day they blow a knee or break their neck..their careers are over and all they have to fall back on is their parents and mcdonalds

im usually late every morning and afternoon and all i have to do is get a later slip and teachers don't say shit to me about it
i just walk in class and sit down and the odd time a teacher has said something to me its not even bad its more like
"try to get here earlier"
than i usually laugh
