How can I get this shade of flat black?

I got a question, how can I get this shade of flat black? Normal flat black won't work, maybe tamiya matt black or a sanded down gun metal. I wan't my silvia model looking exactly like this one that the guys at sportcompactcar built.
Can someone tell me what kind of rims the car has?

Looks more of a gray/gunmetal with the sun effecting it.

In the latest issue of SCC, one of the readers asked him how he did it. He said he first sanded down all the sheetmetal of the car with 400 grit sandpaper, then washed it, then primed it with Krylon, and then used 8 Krylon Flat Black spraybombs to cover the car. So if you wanted to be truly accurate, you should use Krylon Flat Black. Any flat black would work, really. It's just shiny because of the huge scale.

as far as i know, CE28N's (the wheels on the Sport Compact Car project S13) are not yet available in 1/24 size. as for Aoshima, do they even make a TE37?? i was under the impression that only Fujimi did. besides, it's a Fujimi kit right?

It's Tamiya, the car is green on the box.

I built my first, AND LAST, fujimi kit, a skyline R32, only tamiya for me now. I'll probably buy an aoshimia kit to see it's quality, but for now, only Tamiya and some revell.

If I don't find the volk ce28n's, I'll find something else I like...

you won't find them because they're not made yet. anyways, as far as my experiences go, Aoshima is better quality then Fujimi, but still not as good as Tamiya. and when it comes to variety, there's no beating Fujimi.

the cars not ugly, its meant to be plain because its sole purpose it to be a drifter, and maybe a mix of flat black and gunmetal will work?
