Acceleration hesitation...

Hey,

Everytime I filled up the tank it seems like the acceleration has a little jerking or hesitation. While I proceed to step on the pedal, the engine makes a a jerking sound> what I would say hesitation. Can anyone help?

When was the last tune up? Spark plugs, wires, air filter, fuel filter? Any SES/CEL light?

Thanks for the reply....perhaps the last I can recall the 00' GP had a tune up back round May and I recently had a oil and air filter change couple months ago around November and September. For as fuel filter it been awhile. The SES light does come on and stay run. I cannot figure out way its doing that can you please give me some advices?

Since your CEL is on, I would get it scanned and find out why. Both Advance Auto Parts and Auto-Zone will scan it for free if the light is on, but don't always trust their code definitions. They scan cars to sell parts, so they may mislead you. Get a print out or write the codes down, then post them here so we can assist you better.

Also, did you ever get the temp gauge problem resolved? The ECT if the cause or related wiring could cause driveability issues. See link below.
