Angry fuel injector?

help,just had new engine put in my 95 trans sport 2days ago.everytime i put car in gear it dies,even if i give it gas while doing so. it doesn't idle at steady rpm. has died couple times just ideling but now doesn't stay running in gear... help!!!!! shari

Sounds to me like its not getting any fuel. The electronic fuel injectors probably didn't get hooked up right in the engine replacement process. If i were you...take it to a local shop (if you can ) or give the shop a call that did the replacement and see if they can get someone to come down and have a look. Sheri....when it does idle is the RPM like around 500?

Basically what probably happened is when they disconnected the battery the computer lost its memory. Sometimes it will relearn its settings after a few days but if not I know as a dealership tech we can relearn it through the use of a scan tool.

Thats the other posibility. I say they hooked some wiring up wrong.

fuel injector

ends up being the lock up converter?? in transmission,we unplugged it and its fine and heard its ok to run it like that??

NOOO! if left unpluged the transmission will overheat. sounds like it is the TCC solenoid inside the trans, this sould not e to expensive to have repaired.

Yes, do not unplug it. You will be looking at a LOT of money out of you pocket in a short time if you keep it like that. Whew....

hi again,we are looking into getting someone to fix it hopefully early next week.my boyfriend is driving to and from work a little far so we are going to go ahead and get it taken care of... why don't you just come fix it for me.. thanks again
