Duplicolour Mystify paint question.
has anyone experienced problems with this stuff?
Duplicolour Mystify paint, the kameloen stuff... i used it on some fujimi models, and orange peel was the result, and I had to spend hours sanding it down.. Now I test painted a spare hardtop from a Tamiya S2K, the same way, and there was NO orange peel at all. Are the plastics different on each of the model manufacturers? |

Did you prime it first?I always prime with duplicolor primer before spraying any duplicolor paint with great results.HTH.

Try wet sanding the primer with 2000 grit wet/dry sandpaper before applying the color coats.

OK... the paint you speak of is a three part system.. the black is a base coat the color is the magic coat and then the clear.. the black does not really work as a primer.. it is just simply a base for the color.. if you spray just the color over say a windshield you can see throught it.. You still need to prime under the black.. Later Rick S..
