Has anyone ever tried to spray a flat color as a top coat, then apply a clearcoat above to give it a shine (mirror)? Is this as effective as simply using the base gloss color to start off with?
I'm asking this cause IMO flats are easier to work with compared to gloss's. What do you think?

that idea has crossed my mind many times, I taught of trying it once to see if it'll work, It probably would work...

I think once you examined the paint up close, you would see the imperfect flat paint.
