WOW! at least you know your car can go to 10k without blowing, but i wouldn't push it. I don't even got a tach that goes that high.

I accidently missed a shift in my grandfather's S-10... from 2nd into 1st... it was when I was learning how to shift manual. the truck took a nose-dive and the engine quit, I pulled to the side of the road, fired it up and never missed that shift EVER again.

I dont think he has a stock ECU cause he has a CRVtec....... and you can hit 10 grand even on a stock ECU, its only that Fuel Cutoff is somewhere at 7200..... i'm not sure how to explain it, but i read a thread on here about it, some1 else please fill in!

You can rev your engine past fuel cut off if you downshift to a low enough gear and your going fast enough......if you downshift and your engine revs past the cutoff, no fuel goes to the engine, but it still spins that fast because it is still connected to the tires....I dunno if I explained that clearly enough, but I know what I'm trying to say, so if you need it clarified just ask and I will attempt it again.

One time I downshifted to 2nd going 80mph trying to shift to 4th from 5th gear..sounded badass. Nothing happened, just made some smoke come out the exhaust.

I let my mate drive my car (D16A9) and when he pulled away he didn't bother lookin' at the rev counter and I Heard it missing so he must of been right off the clock I would imagine,

I was well pissed off when I told him to go steady in it as well coz i just got the gearbox done!!!
