That is pretty general. Can you describe the smell in more detail? Do you ever see any smoke? Does it ever idle rough? Does it hesitate or pulse when driving? Does it have trouble starting? Is your gas mileage suffering?

The smell is like a burning oil or brake smell. The vehicle is not burning any oil and the brakes aren't wearing. Its more noticable when the engine is working a little harder such as when climbing long grades. Its also only noticable when driving with the windows down or when stopped after climbing a hill and being pulled in by the heater fan.
