Chris could probably install one of these in his sleep. He's probably about the most knowledgable AWD DET to FWD in the country. He usually has a decent supply as well. You can try the SE-R Mailing List for other possible sources, but this engine is relatively rare and almost double the price of the BB DET. It's also rather more involved to install.

gti-r front clip

Check out Heavythrottle.com, these guys are plenty helpful and I think they have a gti-r front clip in stock for $3500, I don't know if you consider that a good deal or not, but trust me the security of a front clip is wonderful because you know you have everything you need.

It's nice to see someone else interested in the Pulsardet swap.

Yep. The GTi-R engine is a great engine, but dollar for dollar, I can make a Bluebird engine that will kick a GTi-R engine's ass until you get up to stupid fast (over 400 whp) and probably beyond.

Yes it is cheaper and can be modded to be very-very fast.

Does anyone know how many BAR a Pulsar engine will handle?
(w/precise fuel management, and as many "stock" parts left on as possible)

How closely does the Pulsar front bumper resemble the P10's?

Thank You

the SR can probably handle up to 1 bar without any mods.

Choices, choices. Swap motors, add turbo kit, or keep it n/a????

I want at least 250 whp and 225 lbft torque. (Is that too much to ask?) What is the best route (i.e. least expensive)? (Ultamite goal is to take an RSX and/or a WRX with ease)

A DET swap with add-on's (FMIC) will get you pretty close. You can also go from there. If you don't feel like swaping start with an F-Max Stage I kit and go from there.

With both of these options at this point you'll have to fab your own intercooler piping. Hotshot should have a FMIC kit for the P10 G20's some day but no ETA is available.
