V-AFC problems

my friends( d16z6 del sol )vafc will not change his vtec engagement point even when i set it for 4500rpm it still kicks in at like 4800. anybody knows whats wrong... thanks

make sure your lo-hi and hi-lo arent the same

incorrect
example your lo-hi would be 4200 and your hi-lo would be 4200

correct
example your lo-hi would be 4200 and your hi-lo would be 3800


not saying those settings are right for the car just merely giving examples

also make sure the harness is connected properly, it can really fuck with you if it isnt.

ill double check the wiring again but im pretty sure its right. and the settings were different values so who knows why it wont work... thanks
