Baldwin Motion Camaro Progress

Fairly nice kit with a good amount of detail. Will be primed, then painted with a basecoat of silver, and a final coat of british racing green, topped off with clearcoat.

Body with mold lines removed. Very aggressive hood, imo.

454ci Engine block. Gotta get some gold for the carb. Valve covers say "MOTION".

Be careful with the fitment of the side-exit exhaust because they don't fit the best but everything else should be fine! Lookin' forward to this one!:bandit:

Funny thing I noticed is that one side of the engine block has 3 exhaust exits while the other has 4....

actualy those are not exhaust holes those are freeze plugs. Very use full on a real engine. The exhaust holes should be in the heads, just above the freeze plugs.

Sweet! Now here's a project I can relate too!!
Are you doing box-stock or tricked-out?

I'd like to trick it out, but I'm going box stock so I can avoid any mistakes. I'll maybe redo the kit later on after I've learned it.

Nice.... I just picked up that model a week or so ago.
But it's way down on the modeling list. Looking forward to see the results.

Looking forward to seeing this one done.
I thought a blue would look best but i'm sure you can prove me wrong with a top-notch green paint job
Good luck

Quick update. Weather was nice today so I gave it 3 coats of krylon primer. Didn't do the hood, but shown for difference.

I found a site with help on the decal placement. http://public.fotki.com/mofobow/chev...aldwin_motion/ I didn't realize it had the decals broke-up like this. I'll have to get this kit also since i owned a 70 RS/SS.

Why dont you just get the 70 1/2 camaro model instead of the baldwin motion. I have both of them, basically the same kit, the 70 1/2 camaro would be closer to your 70 rs/ss

This is a pictures of the 70 1/2 camaro made by AMT/ERTL
