Jack your car up on the front Drivers side, check rotor for wear, axle if it's broken or leaking, tie-rod, ball joint. And if you've put in a different motor than the stock one check the drivers side mount to see if it's too loose. Not that it's likely the same but in my Oldsmobile i have the same problem and my ball joints are beat the shiznit. Whenever i downshift or break i don't get the sound anymore.

When does it happen? When you are driving? Have you hit any potholes lately? It might be time to rebalance your wheels/tires or a bent wheel if you have aftermarket wheels/tires. One of my wheel weights fell off once and of course then the wheel/tire is out of balance.

Holy shit they didn't tighten all bolts???? U should sue those idiots for their ignorance! Do u know what could happen if u kept driving it like that, on the highway lets say. The lugs continuously could get looser till they fall off. It happened to me when i was test driving a honda, they didnt tighten all lugs, so by the time i got to my mechanic that was gonna check it out, it was so bad that only one lug remained and it was almost off. 200 feet more and i would have crashed for sure....

Hey by the way, if your rim was allowed to "play" around, because it wasn't tight enuff, the holes in the rim might be eliptical already and even if u install all lugs, it might keep on "thuding" a little. Theres nothing u can do in that case, u would need a new rim. So sue the m@therfuckers!!!

ya you could sue..but what would you gain? in the end nothing. a situation like this to say sue is total overboard..

just go elsewhere next time and tell everyone and their mother in your area not to go there and why. time will take it's course and if this garage is shady they will go down for sure
