Inspiration

Rhombus, I see where you got your inspiration for painting your hood!!! Rather Land Roverish...

Busted

I have loved LRs for a long time and will have a D-90 some day in the future (after a house is bought I have been told )

The second Disco is Simon's the guy that I 4x4 with a lot.
(he is the guy I painted my hood with, well I prepped he painted)

Oh I forgot to mention the damage:

I cracked a rear 1/4 panel (yes a freshly paint one).
It is now off again in the back of the X)
I also ripped off my license plate.

Yikes! Let us know what happened with CD's gear.

Nice pics. I noticed the land rover hood thing too, but Rick beat me to it.

Ouch!

Well, I must admit that my second 4WD was an old '67 LWB Rover. That old truck would go anywhere! Best damn hunting vehicle we had in the family! When I was looking to replace the Maxima it was a toss up between the X and a LR Discovery. I'd love to find a D-90 but they are spendy, even a good used one! I paid cash for X and would have had to finance 10k for the Discovery!

rr-
Well then I guess you don't want to hear that Simon has two LR that he is shipping here from england in about a month.

D-90 '86
D-110 '85
Both are diesel.

He said that they are cheap over in England and shipping is not that bad.
When I get more cash for a second toy I will be getting mine from over the pond.

Cool Discos!!! I was drooling over a black one yesterday. I love my X, but there's just something about Land Rovers in any flavor. D90, Range Rover, Disco, it doesn't matter!

Chuck-
I also love my X but a D-90 is such an awesome off-road vehicle.
(It will drive circles around most other 4x4's )

If you want to waste a hour have a look at this site:

D-90 Source

Make sure you check out the Owner's Rig section

I tried to resist the temptation, but I had to look. Here's an example of something I would not be able to do with my Xterra. BTW, yellow is my favorite D90 color.

I wade thru the site every now and then.

I will have a yellow soft top D-90 with 35 SSR's and lockers at both ends.
It will look just like this but I will not have the yellow belly or wheels, those will be black.
