I want to start doing some models

Any suggestions on good brands and stuff? Tamiya looks pretty good but where can you get them online? I only have one good hobby shop here and it doesn't have that many models (at least they didn't last time I went). Also what about good paints and stuff to use.

Is it easier to do a certain type of car as your first one, like a street car as opposed to a race car? I would like to do a Supra, Skyline, 57 Chevy, Altezza, Porsche GT2 or GT3, or a Lancer Evo VII.

Thanks.

Also, what are some good sites that might tell about good techniques to use for things such as painting the car and whatnot?

it's called the FAQ!! we need to put a big bright green arrow and a couple of neon yellow stars around the FAQ so people know to look at it when they first get here!

Ok, sorry about that. I'll go check the FAQ now.

But do you know anything about where I could a 57 Chevy model? Or even a 55 or 56? That's probably not in the FAQ...

And that FMIC is AMAZING! It looks quite real, even the Blitz logo. Definately doesn't look like it's homemade! :ylsuper

Build for youself first, it won't come out perfect.... But that is ok, then do some more models and then buy the same model as you did as the first and build it and compare
