Which to choose?
I want a program to clean my disk space of unwanted files, and give me some security from prying eyes . . .

I'm considering BC Wipe, or Windows Washer . . . actually, I've downloaded both, but didn't install either yet.

Let me know which you consider to be the best option and why . . .

Just get a bootloader and do a low level format. That'll take care of it.Or you can do as the pro's and use amagnet.

I am sure he wants to use the hard disk again.

I agree, low level format is best.

Hehe, it is a utility that will format the entire hard drive and wrote over it with ones and zeros about four times. This makes it so that any trace of what was on the hard drive is gone and nobody can bring it back or see what was on it. The drive is, of course, still useable.

Ok just remenber that in oder to be 100% sure that no info can be retrieved you have to write 7 times over the info you deleted. Fortunatelly most track erase typeprograms do that for you.
