APC - .AMERICAN PRODUCTS CORP

IF YOU HAD A BAD EXPERICENCE WITH THEM BEFORE...THEN DON'T GO WITH THEM AGAIN....BESIDES THE OBVIOUS, GO WITH A COMPANY THAT IS SPECIFICALLY FOR HONDA OR TRY EBAY

i'd say stay away from APC for those types of purchases. but i'd also stay away from ebay also. goto local shops an check out sites online. if PIAA makes some for ur car, then that'd prolly be the best quality for ur money. IMO tho.

yah, APC is crap. You'll notice that's about all that places like PepBoys and JCWhitney sell...
speaking of APC and PepBoys, anyone see the model of the modified Civic or Accord that PepBoys sells w/ all the APC graphics all over it? It's a nice looking model, aside from the obvious...

also if you buy aftermarket headlights, you should put cilicone around the seems. it keeps it dry and never fogsd up.

Don't knock them just because Pep Boys sells them. I have a few APC items on my car, and they aren't any different than what you'd buy at animport shop. I just wouldn't get Altezzas or any of their headlights for my car. What APC do I have? My intake for one is APC, and it is the SAME exact thing that you'd pay twice as much for from AEM for a short ram, exception being you can get the AEM intakes in colors. Same design though, so there's no difference there. My sidemarkers I have are APC as well, again, no different that any other side markers unless they can mess up wiring. Never had a single problem with anything APC yet to date. Most of their stuff though I wouldn't get, not because it's crap (which it isn't) but because it just doesn't suit my tastes.

IMO APC is CRAP! If you will notice most of their stuff comes from Tawian, even though it is called american products company. As for the intake being the same design, well maybe similar. I have learned that the cheap stuff is cheap quality. For example I went through 3 headers before I got one that did not leak 1st was a Ractive 2nd was a apc and 3rd was a airmass. All of which are poor quality compared to my dc sports header. Now I didn't notice any substantal hp difference but the dc sports header had a much better design for the gasket. And I have looked at the APC intakes and the tubes are about the same but the filters look like poor quality compaerd to an AEM or K&N . Just my .02

APC used to be the BOMB!! their products were always reliable. they never leaked or had any problems. then they got big, really really big. and their quality of products have gone down hill. we no longer carry or sell APC products anymore because of all the returned clear corners, taillights and headlights due to water leakage. if you want something really well made and reliable try OOEM obviously..if u cant, then get Denji and KS they are the beest for aftermarket headlights and taillights. i have never seen products so well packaged and prepared than the ones i have seen from Denji and KS and maybe TYC.

I'll agree to that on the actual filter element, nothing beats a TRUE K&N filter element, unless you're using like the A'PEXi power filter or an Akimoto kind. But for the intake pipe itself, there' no real difference, it's what you stick on the end of it that matters most in a short ram.

Hmm, I have APC sidemarkers and haven't had any problems with them leaking or anything like that. You sure you had the lenses on them secured tightly? The original set I had, the place that installed them cracked one of the lenses and it fell off one day on the freeway. I got another set of ones a little different, but still APC, and I have no complaints on them.

I think they're crap cause half the time their products end up breaking or not working the way they're supposed to and also SO MANY RICERS USE THEM. Like just yesterday I saw a 92 Gold Integra with Seafoam colored headlight covers and banner and it also had APC stickers on it. I also saw a conversion van with black plexiglass over the headlights and they also drilled a circle of little holes in the headlights to try to make them look like Halos. He also had banners that said APC on them. Now why would someone want to share a name with cars like that?
