Asset Or Liabilaty

OK i'm really like the 95 Dodge Stealth r/t tt, i planing on buying one in april/march

now what i want to know is..

will it be worth buying a 95 Stealth or will i buy it and be overcome with repair bills and have to be fixing it all the time and servicing it..

i really like what i have been reading about it.. i have been seriuosly looking into the car and looking them up on the internet and such

but i would like to know from the people that have experience on them...

are parts for the car expensive? is there something that will usually not work or break before other things do? are they a hassle to maintain...

what sort of major or annoying flaws do thety have about them that i might want to know before i buy one..?

just basically tell me why i SHOULDN'T buy one..

please don't just reply with " BUY ONE THEY ARE THE BEST CARS" !

lol hehe

thx alot for any info you guys can give me

Well they are great cars to mod, but they seem to be a tad on the heavy side. I hear that the gear boxes, transfer case, and trasmission are the waek points on the car. I am not positive though. I have a friend that is modding his R/T TT, I'll ask him what you can expect when modding it.

Parts are VERY expensive. It's usually cheaper to buy an entire rebuilt engine (www.soshinUSA.com) than rebuilding an existing engine. Some Dodge Engines are hopeless right outta the factory, and some are good for 250K + miles. If you've got a cursed engine, no amount of rebuilding will fix it. As for me, I'm looking at my third rebuild in two years. After this one goes out, I'm buying a brand new engine....and hoping it's not cursed.

Yes, the Tranny is the weak point (besides weight). DEFINATELY have that modded. The Getrags are SO FRICKING TEMPERMENTAL.

I seem to remember some guy at a Stealth meet with a 7 speed that was AMAZING on the take-offs...*drool* Maybe I'm dreaming...oh well.

I must mention that the engines in the Stealths aren't Dodge engines, they are all Mitsubishi engines.

yup i have read that they are mitsu engines..

but really is it worth buying one if i'm on a tight budget? or will i most likely be putting it into the garage after a month or so cause it needs to be fixed..

i have like maybe 23g's to spend.. and the car is 15g and then i need to pay for insurane also.....?

That's true, but they're still subject to the Mopar Curse.

Man, you have an enchanted engine then....your gonna be on the road for a long time. I had one of those in my 2.2L Turbo four that was in my Lancer....I miss that car...
