I just purchase a used 323ci...but I don't know how to make the alarm to chrip its on slience mode ...also.. the light on the rearview mirror does not light up.. can someone help me please. I have no car manual and I'm losted. Thanks

No need to worry bout your alarm not working correctly - e46 alarms do not make a noise when arming or disarming and the red bit on the rear view mirror doesn't flash, its just a sensor. Hope this helps

The red piece beneath the mirror flashes on my 2000 328i when armed. I am still discovering many kewl things on this car. Chad

According to my dealer, BMW does not come standard with an alarm. So when you read the manual about the alarm and arming it, that ONLY pertains to cars with that option.
You can program the lights to flash when locking with the button on the key. This has to be done by the dealer. The dealer did assure me that the ONLY way that car can be started is with the key. (Due to the chip in the key) Guard your key, if you lose it and need another, they have to go to Germany for it! I would hate to see the cost!!! :ylsuper |
