Can you get cold air intake for domestic oldsmobiles?
I've got a 91 oldsmobile torando, and I am looking into getting ram air, or cold air intake for it, and i really would like to know of some websites that list products.
Thanks in advance guys. |

Yes, I know they make them for at least some domestics. I have a Taurus SHO, and I know they make them for that. I don't know about your car tho. Is yours a Trofeo? I love those cars, I just wish they had an MTX, then I would have bought that. One of my friends has a `92 Trofeo with 19" rims, and in the VIC screen, he can play playstation, watch DVD's. I love that car (at least I can still beat him in a race!).

Cold air intakes
As ffar as i know, there are only a few companies out there that even make cold air intakes. Try looking on K&n's website they might have an FIPK for ur car. If not the thing that these kind of american cars need though. they already should get "cold" air from behind the headlight on the drivers side. What you should try to do is take your air box out and see if there is any type of flow restriction for the air going into the air box. For instance, my brothers 96 olds cutlass supreme had a 2 inch opening into the airbox. his thrittlebody is almost 3 inches in diameter, so we cut the restrictlve inlet out and made a 4 inch by 4 inch square hole. Colder isn't always better, but more definitely is.. It feels MUCH faster now....and souds a lot better too.
