heater core clogging

I own a 99 2 door blazer. I have been having problems with the heater core clogging. I have flushed the heater core twice and the whole system once. The heater core usually clogges up after a couple of weeks. Lots of brown chunks come out when I flush the heater core.

Has anyone heard of a filtration system or a screen that can be put into your cooling system. I have thought of using garden hose ends with a screen in one end and put it i the hose to the heater core. If it gets clogged again do you think there will be enough pressure to pop the screen out?

Can I heat the inside of the truck by turning the a/c on and setting the temperature dial to hot? Will this ruin my a/c unit?

first... why would you want to turn your ac on in the winter to heat the car? turning AC on in the cold will definetly ruin it.

Second, it shouldnt be clogging that much, check if your radiator is rusting. If so, replace. I have a 16 year old car and my heater core has never clogged.

its acxtually rcomended that you turn on your A/C when you have your heat on, the A/c will be disabled but other Cpmponeents of the A/C will still be in effect, such as the evaporator, having the A/C on wiht heat will help remove Moisture form the Intereior of you Veichle, prolongin the life of your instruments and apholstry, many modern day car actually turn the A/c automatical when you turn on your defrost buttton, it will nto harm the compressor or use any Coolant fuilds, it just puts more use on other non esential parts

oh. That's news to me. I know for my car that if i turn on the AC in the cold, it will automatically turn off cause its less than 32F to prevent damage. Well Disregard what i said about the AC.
