Interco's website updated, new version of the TrXus out...

http://www.intercotire.com

Interesting, they have a few new sizes of their existing models listed, and the new "All-Terrain" TrXus. Although it looks kinda goofy to me, I suspect it will have comparable traction to the BFG AT's. What do you guys think?

Talking BTW, this might be my next tire.

One of the new sizes listed is 34x10.50 for the TSL's (albeit bias ply), with a new tread pattern...

It's almost enough to make me not mind the accelerated wear I'm getting out of my SSR's.

Goth-
Just when you got all the rubbing stopped here you go again

Why are you only going for the 34's I see that the SSR comes in a 35x10.50R15

Trxus AT - Well at least it looks different. I would like a side shot to see how it looks. I like the Trxus MT from the side.

You're right about the SSR's, and I have thought about those tires, but I think they're just a smidgen *too* big for me right now. From what I've seen the TSL's run a bit closer to normal (vs. true) size, so the difference in height of the two tires is probably a good 1.5"...it's going to be a close/tight fit around the steering components in the front as it is if I do go w/ the 34's. (Hell, my SSR's rub on the base of the pitman arm on occasion...)

I agree about the TrXus AT's...I only wish they would have kept more of the sidewall tread of the MT version...that in my opinion is what makes those tires perform as well as they do. Looking at them, for some reason I think they would do well in snow--all those real little void areas and what not. Not sure when they'll start shipping them but I guess we'll hear back from users soon enough.

BTW rrdstar--I have a 2" body lift + 3" suspension.

I did notice that the other types of tires run smaller (weird that the SSR run so big).

I don't think that I would want to go with a bias ply tire or one that was not siped (sp). But having said that I have not run a bias ply tire before.
They will be a good bit cheaper that the SSR's (35's) I imagine.

Hey I was out checking my tires after you mentioned that yours are wearing fast. I felt the lugs and they have worn uneven (like with little ponds in them). Just go out and feel a few of your lugs and maybe you will see what I mean.
Not sure what this means if anything or not.
I can say that compared to my spare I have lost a bunch of the tread.

All this talk about tires is making me want to hit the trails.
To bad my X is having a problem right now
I'm getting a grinding noise under load at low speeds (mostly around 30kms). I'm nervous to take it to the shop since I don't have the $$$ to fix it. Oh well maybe I just need to get a set of boggers to hid the sounds

Damn man, I love that new 34" TSL. I'm installing my 2" body lift in the coming weeks, but like goth said, I think 34" is still a little too big even with 5" of total lift. Guess I'll have to wait on that solid axle conversion before I can run these
