Having electrical probs. Please read...

I have a 97 SE 5spd. I think I have a grounding problem with the center console. My clock, hazard, defroster, climate control, ash tray and cig lighter illumination does not work. I knew this was a problem for a while, because I had to ground the Bose unit on the chassi (by splicing to the ground wire) in order for my stereo to work.

Is there a central ground for all of these units that I can check? I checked a couple fuses, but they were fine.

please help
