cv boots
has anyone in this forum ever had to change there cv boots? if so how much did it cost?

I changed my cv boot on my passenger side myself it was $9.50 for the boot, another $50 for the tools that I did not have and another $80 for the 4-wheel alignment which adds up to about $140 and tools that I can use later. If I had a shop do the work the lowest price I received not including the alignment which should be done is $250. It took me about 10 hours doing the very first time ever at that time I also changed the complete brake system on that wheel including caliper, rotor, and pads.
Yes it was somewhat difficult but not impossible. |

You are a very dedicated and sick person.
It sounds like something to do if you really like to do your own work, and aren't afraid of screwing up one of the most critical parts of your drivetrain.Seriously, hats off to you, my friend. :ylsuper

I had the passenger side cv boot changed out and it cost me $140 I didn't have the alignment done on it though. It only took an hour.
