need help with achieving desired boost

I have a sohc d16y8 that i will be turbo charging shortly. Ive built up the drivetrain properly so it should be able to handle a decent amount of boost. I plan on getting a drag gen three turbo kit, the fmaxs are nice but they are a whole grand more. I here rumors that my stock injectors can handle boost up to 7 psi before they start running lean. I know how to build internals but how far i acutally need to take them is what im asking. I don't need a 14psi monster that would require a bullet proof bottom end, but i would like to run about 9 pounds. I already plan on getting some 420cc rc injectors, new throttle body, intake manifold, turbo profile cam, and maybe some other goodies. Would i have to take my internals so far as to, get a titanium valve train, get a ported and polished head, darton sleeves, eagle rods, and some dished pistons to run 9 pounds without have to do a rebuild every few months? A 50 shot from a fogger system would be nice to have too but i think im pushing my limit just a little bit. Oh and if you guys can refer me to a nice intake manifold for turbocharging please do so. Thanx

Look at my siggy man. I've ran up to 10psi with ALL STOCK SHIT. Internals, injectors, clutch, wheels. With the blue box I haven't ran lean once. I helped my buddy out with his DRAG Gen III kit. Here's the post:

Your car can handle it, unless you dog it out all the time or have like 150.000 miles on it, then you never know.
