What do you expect? With the shortage of funds...I don't understand why Honda doesn't just pull the plug on BAR and head out on their own like Toyota and Ferrari.

I sincerely doubt BAR have much of a shortage of funds. Their budget is not the biggest, but at the same time they should be very secure with the BAT backing.

Also the latest JV attacks on his teammate and the team boss probably won't be helping the matter too much.

Somehow I don't think there is a shortage of money at BAR when their principle funding, BAT, also backs the Subaru WRC(hence the 555 on the side of the Subaru's at certain events).

Plus.....I think it is a lot prettier than some red offerings.....

He should welcome his teammate, not discourage him; or maybe it's Jacques' own way of welcoming Jenson, b/c maybe Jacques didn't get a warm welcome into his first few teams.
